Generic Background

I was born and brought up in Chennai, India. I received Bachelors of Commerce degree in 2009, Master of Business Administration in Finance in 2011 and Master of Arts in Labour Management in 2018. I worked in various international investment banking companies from October 2011 to May 2025 and then quit financial services to be a full time astrologer.

Astrological Background

“Every art and investigation, and likewise every practical pursuit or undertaking, seems to aim at some good: hence it has been well said that the good is that at which all things aim.”

— The Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle

This insight from Aristotle speaks deeply to me. He suggests that all our actions are directed toward some form of good. While the idea of “good” can be personal or subjective, its pursuit remains universal. I approach astrology with that same intent: to do good. To assist those who seek clarity, meaning, or direction by interpreting the cosmic language that often holds answers to life’s riddles.

Hailing from a family of astrologers, my journey into astrology was not a matter of choice, but rather one of destiny. My foundation lies in Jyotisa, shaped by familial methods that continue to refine my ability to forecast and interpret charts. Though I began formally studying Jyotisa in 2011, my passion expanded in 2017 when I was drawn to the rich traditions of Hellenistic and Medieval Persian astrology. Since then, my practice and research have been a thoughtful integration of all three ancient traditions.

My earliest guidance came from my maternal granduncle, Shri G. Gurumoorthy Iyer, who patiently introduced me to the art, emphasizing predictive techniques and nuanced understanding. His mentorship gave me the tools to chart my own path as an astrologer.

I hold a Diploma in Traditional Natal Predictive Astrology from Sharon Knight’s school and earned an M.A. in Indian Astrology from Yoga Samskrutam University. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Astrology. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive the support and encouragement of mentors, colleagues, and friends from around the world who’ve contributed to my growth, not just as an astrologer but as a human being. I remain deeply grateful to them.

Alongside my study of Jyotisa and other traditions, I find spiritual and intellectual grounding in texts like the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. More recently, I’ve been exploring the works of ancient Greek philosophers, finding in them a shared human quest for meaning. These philosophical underpinnings, across time and cultures, only deepen my appreciation for astrology as both a sacred tradition and a living practice.
