After nearly 15 years of studying astrology, including Jyotisa, I felt called to teach. This process naturally this led me to develop an extensive body of course material.

What I am now publishing is a portion of that work. This book forms Volume 1: Essentials of Jyotisa of a larger series called Foundations and Frameworks of Indian Astrology, envisioned as part of a structured 4-year course in Jyotisa. The present volume includes roughly half of the material from the first year.

It brings together years of study, reflection, and practice, drawing from the Vedas, classical astrological texts, and the philosophical foundations that shape Jyotisa. Rather than offering quick techniques, I have tried to build something more enduring, going back to the roots of what, what and how of Astrology.
