The Final Leg of Jupiter in Gemini, in Punarvasu

2025 has been a roller coaster year for many of us in several ways, largely shaped by Jupiter’s stay in Gemini, the transit of the Lunar Nodes across the Leo–Aquarius axis, and Saturn’s transit through Pisces. If you have already read my 38-page booklet on Saturn in Pisces, you may already have a sense of how the coming year is likely to unfold and why periods that feel draggy are not necessarily periods of stagnation. It is important to recognise that each planet plays its own role in facilitating progress or taking part in the unfolding of the story like my Nicholas Polimenakos likes to put it, and Jupiter’s current retrograde motion in Punarvasu Nakshatra in Gemini is one such phase. In this essay, let us explore the opportunities this period offers as we prepare to lay a solid foundation for the rest of the year.

With Jupiter transiting Gemini, many of us were bombarded with information, and discerning what we truly needed for our growth versus what was unnecessary may have felt increasingly difficult. Due to a lack of time or the frustration of having to engage with an overwhelming volume of material, we may have given up on or abandoned certain ideas, resources, or lines of learning simply because processing everything felt exhausting. However, abandoning something under pressure does not necessarily mean that it has lost its relevance or value.

Jupiter’s retrograde transit in Gemini through Punarvasu Nakshatra creates an important opportunity to revisit what was previously set aside. This may include ideas, information, resources, skills, or belief systems that still have the potential to support our progress. Frustration may arise due to the challenges we encounter or even due to our anticipation of those challenges, but this is one of those phases where revisiting the unfinished is not optional. It is part of the process, and the effort required may not be as difficult as it initially appears once we begin engaging with it consciously.

Information that once felt scattered due to an unprecedented expansion of thoughts can now begin to gather and everything suddenly becomes digestible. What previously felt dispersed starts to come together. This may manifest as wisdom, clarity in learning, or a deeper understanding of knowledge we already possess. If we reflect on where we were a couple of months ago, where we stand now, and where we are headed, the forward movement becomes evident. We are moving ahead, even if it does not feel explicit, and Jupiter’s retrograde motion is preparing us for the way forward.

Saturn’s transit through Pisces can contribute to procrastination or a sense of stagnation, making it even more important for us to use this period with attention and care. Jupiter will turn direct on March 11, 2026, and from that point, there will be very little time to return to or rework the learning, ideas, and information gathered over the past six months or so. Time lost now is unlikely to return, as Jupiter will soon leave Gemini and will not revisit this sign again for another twelve years.

During Jupiter’s retrograde phase, it becomes necessary to set aside the idea of expansion, as this is the final leg of its transit through Gemini. The focus now is not on acquiring more, but on re engaging with what has already been gathered. Knowledge during this period is gained through revisiting and revising, as Punarvasu Nakshatra is associated with repetition and recurring patterns in life, learning, and information. While repetition can feel frustrating, it also offers an opportunity to refine our skills and deepen our understanding. Whatever work we return to now, regardless of the field, has the potential to be executed with far greater clarity and precision than before.

This process eventually is going to help in rebuilding confidence, regardless of what we are engaged in or where we are headed. The lessons we learn now, or relearn through repetition, tend to stay with us and sharpen our focus. These insights become especially valuable as support during Saturn’s transit through Pisces. Rebuilding faith is an essential theme during this period, and Jupiter’s retrograde phase in Gemini helps establish that foundation before it eventually enters Cancer.

Long standing ethical positions, philosophical views, or belief systems that have been in place for many years may come up for review during this time. Rather than confrontation for its own sake, this period is good for mental reorientation. Jupiter’s trine with Rahu in Aquarius and its sextile with Ketu support a reshaping of belief systems and faith in a way that falls in line with collective realities and our inner truth.

Above all, it is important to maintain faith in the process and continue making consistent progress. With Saturn in transit, visible results may remain elusive for some time, but this should not be mistaken for stagnation or lack of progress. It simply takes time for light to reveal what has been built beneath the surface. Familiarity created through repetition can be used as an advantage during this phase. With patience and persistence, the positive shift becomes evident as Jupiter turns direct on March 11, 2026.

What a great way to frame the persistent progress required as the once scattered energies start to become digestible. This brings to mind the image of a puzzle with all its pieces spread out on the table. Through consistent effort you start to see picture come together but it requires doing one piece at a time.

Thanks for reading and engaging, Christina. Yes, I think different periods offer different opportunities and this is one of those phases where we are annoyed with having to go over something again, but eventually we will realise that we are actually getting better. Also, as you said, it is also about bringing everything together that were once scattered.
